Loading and use on stairs and inclines:
Please
note that you should always work with an assistant to steady the load
when working with the Easimover on stairs or inclines. This method uses
a belt to secure the straps to you and allows you to move the item with
the powerful muscles in the legs (rather than the back) whilst
remaining hands free.
- Place the item
onto the Easimover as you would for flat surfaces and slide it to the
foot of the stairs using the method shown previously
- Position yourself on the stairs at the front of the Easimover and ask
your assistant to pass you the longer straps furthest away from you
- Pass your belt through all four strap handles a secure the belt around your waist
- Pull up straps towards you like reins to form a “cradle” around the far end of the object
- Walking
up the stairs backwards, leaning backwards slightly with a straight
back, release the “reins” until the straps become taut and your back
and leg muscles take the strain using the body as a counterbalance
